Barry Green's Street Glide

Very Sharp and Clean Readers Ride

By Rogue and Barry Green

One of our viewers sent us information and photos on his super-clean Bagger. We like to feature reader's rides. Here is one from Barry Green, who is staffer of sorts, providing images and insights to the industry weekly for the Bikernet News. He also has some good things to say about a company he bought some parts from.

"My motorcycle is a 2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide with a 103 cubic-inch Twin Cam engine. It has a Cycle Rama 570-2 Cam, S&S Lifters, Screaming Eagle Quickie Adjustable Pushrods, S&S Stealth Air Cleaner, Vance & Hines FP3 Tuner, D&D X Cat True Duals with Rinehart 4-inch Mufflers and Rivera Primo (or American Prime now) 1066-0051 32-tooth compensator kit.

"The front end has been lowered 1-inch with a Progressive Spring Kit, Paul Yaffe 10-inch Classic Bars, Arlen Ness Cans and a Pathfinder 7-inch H-D LED Headlight. The wheel is a 21-inch Reinforcer with a Dunlop American Elite 130/60/21 tire and a Long Ride Ultra Elite Curved 7-inch windshield.

"I installed Kuryakyn Chrome Covers on engine and dash.

"The Rear Fender is Bad Dad Summit with Plasma Rod Taillights.

"When I decided to add lowers to my motorcycle I searched the internet looking for the best deal. I stumbled across AdvanBlack and the price was awesome. Thought about it and decided to purchase the lowers from them. They offer them painted to match and I was quite surprised when I received them, they looked like OE and the paint was dead on. Honesty they look OE and are made of quality materials.

"Seems they offer more and more every day, bags, lids, tour packs, liners and more. I have another brand of extended bags that look the same as AdvanBlacks stretched bags. They made no promises, so I took a chance they would fit. Again, when they arrived I was very pleased with the quality and fit.

"Liners are quilted, one piece and made from an artificial material that looks and feels like leather. They are held in with Velcro which they supply.

"So, then they post on FB....now have extended side covers painted to match AND striped.... I have yet to find anyone else who will attempt to match the factory stripping but they do. and for the price.... again, I took a chance that they would match up to my bags. Darn close as you can see. Side covers are made from a heavy plastic with adjustable mounts so you can be sure they line up properly.

"All in all I am happy, and for half the cost or less. Check them out @ https://www.advanblack.com/

"BTW the bag lid tether with the girl, guy on eBay makes them.

"The picture of the lower and the door open, that is the H-D glove box liner...They don’t come with, but they fit."
Helluva nice scooter, well done!
